Mahindra launches Xplorer Edition of KUV100
Domestic car make Mahindra and Mahindra has launched special edition of its sub compact SUV, KUV100 named as KUV100 Xplorer in Indian car market with starting price of Rs. 5.01 lakh (ex-showroom price, New Delhi). The price introduced for Xplorer KUV100 is Rs. 50,000 higher than the actual price offered for standard version of KUV100. Mechanically the Xplorer variant continues with same engine configurations of 1.2 litre G80 petrol engine boosting the power of 82 bhp and torque of 115 Nm followed by 1.2 litre D75 diesel engine that churns the power of 77 bhp and torque of 190Nm. Both the engines are mated with five speed manual gear transmission system and endorsed to deliver ARAI certified average of 18.15 kmpl and 25.32 kmpl respectively.
Talking about the features that are offered in Xplorer Edition, it adorns use of excessive accessories that are helpful in enhancing its rugged looks especially the exteriors. The front fascia receives “Xplorer” logo between headlamps,silver garnished plastic cladding on roof rails, side skirts, front bumper and bottom lip of rear portion. The bonnet receives faux air intakes followed by glossy black garnish on roof. Other accessories offered in Xplorer Edition are black colored plastic body cladding over the taillights, roof spoiler and rear windshield. On the interiors it adorns black colored leather seats with orange colored contrasting stitching.
