Mahindra ready again to rule in 2015 with its S101 and U301
Mahindra & Mahindra, the homes grown car after successful launch of Quanto and Verito Vibe sometime ago is now preparing again with the Mahindra S101- a new compact SUV and other upcoming variants to compete with the highly praised Ford EcoSport. The compact crossover Mahindra S101 has developed grounds-up on monocoque architecture and will be available as a six-seater. The Mahindra S101 will be offered in 1.5 litre diesel and 1.2 litre petrol that will generate the maximum power of around 90 PS. The SUV will have the Automated Manual Transmission (AMT) although it is not yet revealed that which engine configuration will be bestowed with AMT verseion.
Moving ahead the domestic car maker is also set to come with another big SUV codenamed as Mahindra U301. The U301 is also regarded as next-generation Bolero which would be offered 1.5 litre diesel motor and AMT will supposed to be available in near future. It will also have some entrenched features that the competitors of U301 will probably not have like Hyundai ix25, Renault Duster and Maruti S-Cross. In addition to comfort and seating, it will be a seven seater SUV.
