Mahindra S101 alias XUV 100 details to be disclosed in January
Spied on several occasions Mahindra’s proposed compact SUV 101 has grabbed the attention of Indian audiences quite early before its launch in Indian car market. Especially after the launch of compact SUV TUV 300 couple of months back, expectations of Indian buyers from this upcoming compact SUV by domestic car maker Mahindra and Mahindra have grown height. It is speculated that home grown car maker might launch this mini SUV in Indian car market sometimes during the month of January 2016.
The craze of Indian car lovers towards this mini SUV can be witnessed from the fact that going through the pictures revealed by spies on various platforms they have already started making speculations about it. But now with an objective to stop all speculations made by car lovers domestic car maker has announced that it will disclose all the facts associated with S101 on January 18, 2016. This at one side has given a breath of relief to Indian car lovers but on the contrary has given birth to a new speculation that car maker instead of revealing all the features of S101 including its name, engine specifications, exterior and interior feature, company will launch this compact SUV in Indian car market on January 18, 2016.
However on the basis of rumors and speculations made by various prospective buyers the SUV 101 would be launched in both petrol and diesel variants with two engine options 1.2 litre and 1.3 cylinder in petrol and 1.3 cylinder diesel engine options. Both the engines would be mated with five speed manual gear transmission system along with automated manual transmission. Expected to be priced around Rs. 4 lakh, the crossover looking vehicle is speculated to carry features like rear spoiler, plastic cladding across the body and roof rails etc.
