Mahindra S101 caught during test drive
Mahindra S101 the highly awaited SUV from domestic car maker which is expected to be launched earlier next year has been spied during test drive in Southern states of country. The SUV is expected to be the tough contender to EcoSport from Ford. Although the SUV was strictly covered but still the spies succeeded in getting the clues about the exteriors. The SUV will be offered in both petrol and diesel variants equipped with 1.2 litre and 1.5 litre engines respectively and coated with five speed manual gearbox.
Talking about the clues caught by spies the front fascia of SUV receives rectangular headlamps with round shaped headlight. The tail lamps were also given new shape. The SUV would be sub four meter SUV falling between Quanto and Scorpio, carrying most of its features from Quanto. The SUV has been developed on a new platform under the collaboration of Mahindra and Ssangyoung.
The SUV is expected to place tough competition among Ford EcoSport which at present dominates the market in current scenario. On the other it has been the tradition of domestic car maker M&M to offer its new products at competitive price so as to grab attention of prospective buyers at first instance.
