Slated for launch on November 24, 2018, the Alturas G4 SUV from domestic car maker Mahindra and Mahindra is one of the highly awaited launches of this year and the car aspirants are keen to know everything new associated with its launch. Now, according to the recent reports the car maker has started sending the units of SUV to its all dealers located in the different corners of the country and deliveries will begin by the end of this month. The bookings of Alturas G4 have been already commenced by the car maker at the down payment of Rs. 50,000. After launch in market, the SUV will compete against Toyota Fortuner and Ford Endeavour. The dealers are also asked to offer the facility of test drive to the prospective buyers.

 

 

Mechanically, the Alturas G4 will be empowered with 2.2 litre, 4 cylinder turbo diesel engine that is also offered in the Ssangyong Rexton launched in the international car market. The engine will generate power of 180.5 bhp and the torque of 450 Nm, while the transmission duty will be performed by seven speed automatic transmission system, outsourced from Mercedes-Benz. It would be interested to know that the proposed SUV will not be launched with the manual gear transmission option.

 

Talking about the feature, it is reported to be equipped with high defined features comprising of 9.2 inch touchscreen infotainment system will Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, reverse camera, navigation system,electronic adjustable front seats with memory function, nine airbags, traction control, three zone climate control system, rollover mitigation, ABS+EBD, ESP and many more. Moving ahead the color options will include New Pearl While, Napoli Black, Regal Blue, Lakeside Brown and Regal Blue, and in two trims namely G2 and G4. The G2 variant will  be offered with front wheel drive option, whereas the G4 will be offered with all wheel driving option followed by electronic sunroof.
