Mahindra To Launch XUV700 In India On October 9, 2018
Domestic car maker Mahindra & Mahindra is all set to launch its SUV XUV700 in the Indian car market on October 9, 2018. Developed on the platform used in Ssangyong Rexton Y400, the upcoming SUV by the home-grown car maker was showcased during the Indian Auto Expo held during the month of February this year. The car maker has already started importing the CKD kits for the SUV from South Korea and is expected to be offered with the price tag of Rs. 24 lakh (ex-showroom). After launch in India, the SUV will compete against Toyota Fortuner, Isuzu MU-X and Ford Endeavour.

Under the hood, Mahindra XUV700 will be offered with 2.2litre e-XDi220 LED diesel engine boosting the power of 184 bhp and the torque of 400Nm, and with six speed manual gear transmission system, along with seven speed automatic transmission system as an option. According to reports the automatic transmission system is reported to develop the higher torque of 420Nm, along with this the SUV will be also offered with the option of four wheel drive system in the top end variants. Apart from, XUV700, the home-grown car maker is also speculating to launch a compact SUV codenamed as S201 in the Indian car market in the beginning of 2019.

Talking about the features offered in Mahindra XUV700 it is believed that India bound version will be quite different from its version being sold in the International car market. The front fascia is speculated to be embellished with the company badge Mahindra, rather than the SsangYoung badge. Apart from this, going through the condition of Indian roads, the car maker has also worked on improving the suspension system to offer comfort driving experience to the passengers. Other notable features offered in the SUV will include HID headlamps, electric sunroof, electric parking brake, ABS+EBD, nine airbags, 9.2 inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto And Apple CarPlay, ventilated seats and many more.
