Mahindra to make its cars Fuel Smart soon
The rising prices of petrol and diesel have made people think twice before purchasing a car. Many experiments are being done to manufacture fuel smart vehicles. Renowned automobile company Mahindra has made an effort to manufacture fuel smart vehicles and has used the technology in its truck Maxximo Plus. The company is very optimistic with the new technology and expects to manufacture many more vehicles under the same but they first want to see the response of customers and then plan the strategies for further manufacturing as stated by the sources. Already the car maker uses micro Hybrid technology in most of its SUVs including Mahindra Scorpio, Mahindra Bolero and others.
This fuel efficient technology uses a completely indigenous technology and the company would soon get its patent. The cost in manufacturing the new Maxximo Plus is 10 crore and is 10% more fuel efficient than the previous version and has good efficiency. This new truck is a ray of hope as everyone wants fuel efficient vehicles and if the technology works, Mahindra would have options of manufacturing more automobiles using the same technology. The new Maxximo Plus is an enhanced version of Maxximo and the customers get a smart option in the form of Plus with more power and mileage.
Mahindra is a well known company when it comes to manufacturing of SUVs, trucks and has a market of its own. The sales of company as for Maxximo in the last three years is 1.6 lakh units which is commendable. The company plans to manufacture more such technology smart vehicles and increase its sale from the past. Company has a market share of 33 per cent in sub 2-tonne cargo LCV segment out of the 3.5-lakh- vehicles-a-year market. Maxximo is a mini truck designed for agricultural market. The response of this would help in getting the company to know the choice of its customers.
