Mahindra Vibe to launch in India on June 5
The much anticipated hatchback Mahindra Vibe by Mahindra & Mahindra will be launched on 5th June 2013. The new Vibe is a big hatchback car that will take on the Maruti Swift, Chevrolet Sail UVA, Volkswagen Polo and Hyundai i20 in terms of pricing, features and specifications. The new Mahindra Vibe price in India could start at Rs 5.25 lakh for the base variant while the top-end variant is expected to go over Rs 6 lakh.
The new Vibe hatchback is based on the platform of popular sedan, Mahindra Verito . It is an under 4-meter small car which will come loaded with a 1.5 litre K9K diesel engine which is already doing duty in Renault Scala sedan, Pulse hatchback and Duster SUV. The 1.5 litre K9K diesel motor of the vehicle generates max power of 68bhp along with impressive fuel efficiency.
Mahindra & Mahindra has given the two-box appearance to the new Vibe hatchback in addition to give stiff competition to other under 4-meter sedans like Maruti Swift Dzire and Tata Indigo eCS. The company could also offer this new small car to customers as the compact version of the Verito sedan which is a features-rich along and fuel efficient amazing car model. M&M has also given the new breath to its MPV, Xylo with launch of new H Series in domestic market.
