Mahindra XUV400 EV Garners More Than 10 K Bookings In 4 Days
Following its strategy of launching a string of electric SUVs in the country during the coming years, the domestic car maker Mahindra and Mahindra launched the electric SUV XUV400 in the Indian car market recently. The company initiated the bookings of the SUV on January 26, 2023, and within four days after starting the bookings, the company has so far received more than 10 K bookings for the XUV400. According to reports, the company will start the delivery of the top-end variant XUV400 EL from March 2023, and the based variant XUV400 EC during the festive season this year. It is also reported that the XUV400 has a waiting period of more than 4 months.

Under the hood, the XUV400 electric will come with two battery options including a 34.5 kWh and a 39.4 kWh battery pack. The former battery option will be offered in the base EC variant and the latter will be available on the top-spec EL variant. The electric SUV XUV400 is said to be the fastest model in the segment that can touch the mark of 100 kmph in 8.3 seconds with a top speed of 150 kmph. The base variant EC will offer an average of 375 km on a single charge, whereas the top variant EL will deliver an average of 456 km on a single charge. It will come with three driving modes including Fun, Fast and Fearless. Depending upon their driving needs a person can select any of these modes.
The SUV can be charged up to 80 per cent with a 50 kW DC fast charger, and it also supports 7.2 kW and 3.3 kW AC chargers to charge the batteries. The former charger can charge the full battery in six hours and thirty minutes, whereas the latter charges the full battery in thirteen hours. Speaking about the dimensions, the XUV400 has a length of 4200 mm, a width of 1821 mm, wheelbase of 2600 mm. The standard boot space is up to 378 litres which can be extended up to 418 litres.
