Mahindra & Mahindra To Honor Neeraj Chopra With XUV700
From the time Neeraj Chopra, the Golden Boy of India created history in the recently concluded Olympic Games by winning a gold medal for the country in Athletics. Since then the organizations are offering a rain of gifts to honour his talent. In this series Mr Anand Mahindra, the Chairman, Mahindra Group, has announced to offer a special unit of the upcoming SUV XUV700 to Neeraj Chopra. This announcement from Anand Mahindra, however, came after a tweet by Twitter Ritesh Jain, in which he tagged, Anand Mahindra, asking for a unit of XUV700 as a gift for Neeraj Chopra. In reply to his tweet, Anand Mahindra, said, “it will be his privilege to gift golden boy Neeraj Chopra an XUV700.”
According to reports the company plans to offer a special edition of XUV700 to Neeraj Chopra. News regarding this was confirmed by Pratap Bose, the Chief Design Officer, Auto & Farm Sectors, Mahindra & Mahindra. According to his tweet, “So many awesome suggestions coming in for the Special Edition of the #NeerajGoldChopra @MahindraXUV700! We have some ideas cooking at the @MahindraRise Design Studios! Will share more soon!
It is believed that Neeraj Chopra can be the first owner of the new XUV700. It is rumoured that the company will unveil the new XUV700 on the occasion of independence day. It is also believed that on the same day it may announce the Special Edition for Neeraj Chopra. The new Mahindra XUV700 is expected to be launched on October 2, 2021.
The SUV will be launched in two variants a 2.0-litre mStallion turbocharged petrol engine and a 2.2-litre turbocharged diesel engine. The petrol engine develops the power of 188 bhp and the torque of 380Nm, whereas the diesel will generate the power of 185bhp.
