Mahindra & Mahindra To Launch 2021 XUV500 With a New Logo

It is reported that the domestic carmaker Mahindra & Mahindra will launch the next generation of XUV500 SUV with a new logo. The 2021 XUV500 will be the first vehicle from the carmaker to be launched with a new identification. As far as information about the looks of the new logo is concerned nothing has been revealed by the company. The existing logo has three chrome garnished strips covering the alphabet “M” in an oval shape design. According to the sources, the existing logo was introduced for the first time in 2002 on the bestselling SUV Scorpio.

An interesting associated with the new Mahindra XUV500 will not only be embellished with the new logo but also equipped with a new engine configuration. Under the hood, the new XUV500 will be empowered with a new 2.0-litre mStallion petrol engine that will generate the power of 190 bhp and the torque 380Nm. Along with this, the existing 2.2-litre diesel engine will be tuned to generate the power of 180 bhp. The transmission duties will be performed by the six-speed manual gear transmission system and a six-speed automatic transmission system. 
 
It is rumoured that apart from the new engine configuration, the new XUV500 will also undergo lots of cosmetic updates on both the exterior and interior fronts. The interiors are reported to receive the same treatment as offered in the vehicles launched by the German carmaker Mercedes-Benz. It will also be the first vehicle in the segment to be equipped with Level 1 Autonomous Technology, names as Advanced Driver Assistance System (ASAD). The new technology is equipped with features like an autonomous emergency braking system, adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist system, drowsiness detection, and blindspot detection.
 
Apart from the generation next of XUV500, the company has the long list of launches in the pipeline for the year 2021, this includes facelift of TUV300 and TUV300 plus, XUV300, eXUV300, eKUV100, and EV Altroz.
