Mahindra’s New SUV G4 Rexton Undergoing Test Drive In The Desert
Domestic car maker Mahindra & Mahindra had showcased some very interesting line-up of its vehicles during the Indian Auto Expo 2018 held earlier this year. The line-up exhibited by the car maker succeeded in impressing the car enthusiasts. Recently, spies caught the upcoming luxurious SUV from the car maker based on SsangYong SUV being tested in the desert of India. The Korean brand SsangYong has not been so successful in the Indian car market and therefore now the domestic car maker will make use of its Rexton brand under its flagship. The proposed SUV from Mahindra is reported to be based on SsangYong G4 Rexton and after launch in India, it will take against the Endeavour from the Ford and Toyota Fortuner.

According to the images revealed in the cyber world exhibits that the carmaker is trying to assess its off-road abilities. The SUV exhibited during the Indian Auto Expo 2018 is has the muscular body with aggressive front fascia and eye-catching grille with vertical chrome garnished slats. The chrome garnished front grille carries the same appearance as offered in SsangYong Rexton 2018. It adorns projector headlamps with LED DRLs, front fog lamps and plastic cladding with chrome work.

Under the hood, the new Mahindra G4 Rexton is reported to be empowered with 2.2 litre diesel engine that is capable of boosting the power of 178 bhp and the torque of 420 Nm. The transmission duties are reported to be performed by the seven-speed automatic transmission system. Inside the cabin, it is speculated to be embellished with some remarkable features like eight-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports connectivity with Android Auto, navigation system and other phones. The Mahindra G4 Rexton is believed to debut sometimes by the end of this year or during the early months of next year.
