Maruti Ciaz claimed to be more fuel efficient car in Indian car market

Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, the C segment sedan from country’s leading car manufacturing company Maruti Suzuki India Limited has already made huge curiosity among the Indian car buyers. The upcoming C segment sedan has been promoted as the replacement of company’s SX4 and is expected to enjoy the success which unfortunately was not enjoyed by SX4. According to recent reports it is endorsed that Ciaz would be the most fuel efficient C segment sedan in Indian car market, in-fact even more higher than its strong expected contender Honda City by Japanese car maker.

It would be interested to know that country’s leading car manufacturing company MSIL had not succeeded in making its place in the list of top ten fuel efficient cars available in country. Although industry experts had expectations that with launch of diesel Celerio hatchback the car maker will succeed in making its presence in the list. But now ARAI has declared the upcoming Maruti Ciaz diesel to be the most fuel efficient sedan in Indian car market, leaving behind its tough contender Honda City with a margin of decimal point. With this announcement by ARAI the Honda City Diesel will not be the fuel efficient sedan in Indian car market after the launch of Maruti Suzuki Ciaz. It would be interested to know that not only the diesel variant of Ciaz  left Honda City in the competition  but also the petrol variant of Ciaz defeated Honda City by delivering an average of 20.73 kmpl as against 17.8 kmpl average delivered by Honda City.

Here it would be important to mention that all the figures revealed by company has become a trend in today’s scenario adopted by auto companies to promote their products. The actual results are however accessed after the launch of vehicle. One thing which however may be of concern for prospective buyers of Maruti Suzuki Ciaz is that the sedan is empowered with the same diesel engine which is offered in its other siblings Swift, Dzire, Ertiga and Ritz. An average fuel performance delivered by all of them is very less as against compared to Ciaz.
