Maruti Ciaz expected to be launched in July 2014
Maruti Suzuki Ciaz which is referred as replacement of Maruti Suzuki SX4 and showcased during the Indian Auto Expo 2014 may be launched sometimes during this year may be during the first week of July this year. According to sources of company it will discontinue SX4 sedan from Indian car market by next year after launch of Ciaz. Maruti Ciaz codenamed as YL1 has been reported going through test drives several times on Indian roads.
Talking about the engine configuration it is speculated that the petrol version of Ciaz will be powered by 1.6 litre petrol engine which is similar to one adhered in SX4, while the diesel variant may be equipped with 1.6 litre Multi jet Diesel engine carried from Fiat. It is speculated that company might offer same engine configuration in its S-Cross SX4 cross which might be soon launched in Indian car market. It is also speculated that company may offer sedan with five speed manual gearbox system followed by AMT system which may be taken from Celerio.
The front fascia of Ciaz receives dynamic looks followed by trapezoidal grille. It is speculated the upcoming Ciaz will be equipped with huge fleet of various remarkable features including high defined infotainment system supporting connectivity with Bluetooth, cooled glove box, air conditioner with climate control, steering mounted audio controls, ABS+EBD and many more. After launch Maruti Suzuki Ciaz will compete against Volkwagen Vento, Honda City, Hyundai Verna , Renault Scala and other sedan existing in C-Segment of Indian car market.
