Maruti Ciaz will not be offered in AMT version

After successfully launching Celerio hatchback equipped with recently introduced AMT version in Indian car market country’s leading car manufacturing company MSIL had announced to introduce the AMT version in its all upcoming vehicles. But now it is reported that company will however not offer the AMT version in its highly acclaimed upcoming sedan Ciaz promoted as replacement of existing sedan SX4. Commenting on this company’s sources say that the AMT system offered in Celerio is designed for buyers who wish to enjoy driving automatic vehicle at an affordable price. And integration of that specific AMT system in Ciaz may leave worst impact on the image of Ciaz which after launch will compete against sedans like Hyundai Verna and Honda City.

The sedan is already been sold in China as Alivio and is offered with six speed torque convertor, in India it is expected to be equipped with CVT transmission system. The integration of CVT transmission system will help Ciaz to strongly compete with its strong contender Honda City Auto. Apart from this MSIL is working on enhancing the comfort features offered on the rear seat and endeavoring to give it look of cabin offered in luxury cars existing in European car market. This means that the Ciaz will carry spacious cabin as compared to rolling out SX4.
