Maruti Suzuki Baleno and S-Cross Upgraded With New Features
Country’s leading automakers, the Indo-Japanese duo Maruti Suzuki India Limited have upgraded the Baleno hatchback and S-Cross crossover with additional safety features along with ISOFIX child seat to offer safe and secured traveling experience to children and also to comply with the standards of Bharat New Vehicle Safety Assessment Program (BNVSAP). Prior to this, the car makers have added the same feature in their premium sedan Ciaz and recently launched compact crossover Ignis, and are reported to upgrade their all upcoming car with same feature in future.
Apart from ISOFIX child seat the additional safety features offered in Baleno are driver seat belt reminder, seat belt pretensioner, auto dimining IRVMs, reverse parking sensors and camera. The refreshed version of upgraded Maruti Baleno is speculated to go for sale sometimes from the month of February 2017.
With Baleno RS already in the pipe-line of MSIL’s calendar of 2017, the upgraded version of Baleno is believed to lure buyers towards it. Empowered with 1.2 litre K-Series petrol engine and 1.3 litre DDiS diesel engine with transmission duties performed by five speed manual gearbox common in both variants followed by CVT transmission system in petrol variant. The RS version of Baleno is reported to be enriched with powerful engine of 1.0 litre Boosterjet engine that will be capable of boosting the power of 110 bhp.
Talking about the S-Cross crossover it is offered in diesel variant with two engine options of 1.3 litre DDiS and 1.6 litre DDiS engine boosting the power of 90 PS and 120 PS respectively. The transmission duties include five speed manual transmission system along with six speed manual transmission system offered in top end variants. The facelift S-Cross is already on the cards of MSIL for launch by the end of this year.
