Maruti Suzuki Bringing Special Deca Edition of Swift
It is reported that the goliath of Indian car market Maruti Suzuki India Limited is going to introduce special edition of its best selling hatchback Swift during the upcoming festive season to lure the buyers. To be christened as Deca Edition the highlight of this edition would be on number 10 displayed on the side profile of hatchback followed by a a keychain with “Deca” mounted on it. Recently the video of same edition has been released by Indo-Japanese car maker. The proposed edition is speculated to carry cosmetic updates that were displayed in the customized version of Swift showcased during Indian Auto Expo 2016.
The expected cosmetic changes to be introduced in Swift Deca Edition will include set of new dark colored alloy wheels, body graphics with number 10 sketched on doors at front portion followed by a sporty body kit on the exteriors of hatchback. Inside the cabin sports features like black leather upholstery with red stitching, touchscreen infotainment system and few contemporary changes. According to sources of company integration of these new features will make Maruti Swift a special edition.
Under the hood, the special Deca edition will continue the existing 1.2 litre and 1.3 litre engine configurations in petrol and diesel engines respectively. After viewing the teaser it is speculated that the special edition might be introduced in top end Z trim of swift hatchback. With this MSIL speculates to enhance the dipping sales of Swift in Indian car market. Interestingly where the Japanese car maker is getting ready to launch the generation next Swift in global market during the upcoming 2017 Geneva Motor Show. it is speculated that the Deca Edition might be the last major change introduced by company in Swift as special edition in Indian market.
