Maruti Suzuki Cars To Get Costlier From January 25, 2021

After the price hike of 1.9% by the domestic carmaker Mahindra & Mahindra on its entire portfolio, the Indo-Japanese carmaker Maruti Suzuki India Limited has announced to hike the prices of its vehicles from January 25, 2021. The decision of hike price comes as an impact of increasing cost of raw materials and other logistic services.

Despite resuming their operations after the lockdown the Indian automakers were struggling with the problem of poor demand and increasing cost of production. The situation however improved during the festive season, the carmakers have indicated the need for hiking the prices of their products.
 
Speaking about the price hike by the Maruti Suzuki India Limited, the company has not revealed the price hike of the individual model but has reported hiking the prices up to Rs. 34,000. It would be interesting to know that the practice of hiking the prices by the automakers in January every year has been in trend from the last few years. Last year also in January 2021, the Maruti Suzuki India Limited had hiked the prices on a few of its models up to 4.7%.
