Maruti Suzuki Ciaz and Ertiga scores 4 stars in NCAP ASEAN
The recent reports from NCAP will definitely bring smile on face of Indo-Japanese car maker MSIL because according to reports of NCAP for Southeast Asian countries held in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam on May 31, 2016 the Ciaz sedan and Ertiga MPV succeeded in receiving four stars out of five in crash tests conducted for adult occupants protection.

Talking about MPV Ertiga it scored 4 stars in adult occupant test and 2 stars in child occupant test. The unit of Ertiga tested was 1.4 litre petrol unit and was equipped with standard dual airbags installed for front seat passengers. The seatbelt reminder is offered only for driver whereas anti lock braking system is offered as optional in Ertiga. Other features like electronic stability control, ISOFIX and top tether were not offered in the tested unit.

The same results were achieved by sedan Ciaz. The unit of Ciaz tested was 1.4 litre petrol unit and safety features offered in it were also similar to Ertiga. It would be interested that last month five Indian car Maruti Suzuki Celerio and Eeco, Renault Kwid, Hyundai Eon, and Mahindra Scorpio failed in NCAP test and scored 0 star in all crash tests.
