With the launch date of Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, the C segment sedan coming closer by each passing day, Maruti Suzuki India Limited has started making preparations for its dynamic launch. In this series company has started the booking of sedan on the down payment of Rs. 21,000. The car maker is going to launch the sedan in global market during this festive season and will compete against existing popular sedans like Hyundai  Verna and Honda City in C segment. The booking has been initiated through all 1,370 dealers of company across the country.

 

 

The sedan would be launched in both petrol and diesel variants empowered with 1.4 litre petrol and 1.3 litre diesel engine. It is endorsed that the diesel variant is going to be the most fuel efficient sedan in Indian car market and will deliver an average of 26.21 kmpl as certified by ARAI. On the other side the petrol variant of Ciaz is also claimed to deliver fuel efficient performance of 20.73 kmpl.  The petrol and diesel variants would be launched in four trims namely V, V+, Z and Z and will replace the existing C segment sedan SX4 from Indian car market.

 

 

Besides Ciaz the car maker is also speculating to bring a SUV and a compact SUV to compete against established SUV and compact SUV Duster and EcoSport from Renault and Ford. It would be interested to know that the sales of company during the month of August 2014 witnessed the growth of 26.9% recording the huge demand of models like Estilo, Ritz, Swift, Celerio and Dzire.
