Maruti Suzuki Ciaz expected to launch next month
Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, promoted as replacement of Maruti Suzuki SX4 is expected to make its debut in Indian car market sometimes during next month. The sedan was showcased during the Indian Auto Expo 2014 and after which it has been spotted undergoing test drives at several occasions. The Ciaz sedan will be a global product of Japanese car maker Suzuki and therefore it is expected to be designed in much broader and aggressive way than compared to outgoing SX4. The sedan is speculated to embellish standard features like rear air conditioner vents, climate control, navigation system and infotainment system.
The Ciaz would be launched in both petrol and diesel versions which would be empowered with 1.4 litre K series engine and 1.3 litre Multi-jet diesel engine. The diesel and petrol engine would be mated with five speed manual gearboxes followed by CVT transmission system offered in petrol variant.
The SX4 has been doing well in terms of sales but as with changing time it has become an old fashioned car and it has become necessary for car maker to replace the sedan to stay in competition with other existing sedans. After launch the Ciaz will compete against Vento from Volkswagen, Verna from Hyundai, New Honda City and Ford Fiesta.
