Maruti Suzuki Dominates the Indian Car Market
It seems that it has become impossible for all major car makers in Indian car market to replace country’s leading car Maruti Suzuki India Limited from its top position of leading car manufacturing company in country. Therefore, despite of various news vehicles and upgraded versions of existing vehicle portfolio introduced different car makers, MSIL still succeeds in ruling over the hearts of Indian car enthusiasts. According to recent sales reports revealed by Society of Indian Auto Manufacturers (SIAM) eight MSIL vehicles succeed in making their position among top ten best vehicles sold during the month of October this year.

Besides different vehicles sold during the month of October 2016 by all major car maker MSIL’s Alto continues to dominate its top position with 18,854 units sold during the last month, this figure however is less than the number of Alto’s sold last year. Last year during the same month company sold out 22,861 units. Similarly, the compact sedan Swift Dzire succeed in capturing second position with 15,021 units sold during the month of October as against 21,084 units sold last year in the month of October. Moving ahead MSIL’s another hatchback Wagon R with 15, 075 units stood at third position, last year during the same period it was at fourth position by selling 14,734 units.

Company’s another best selling hatchback Swift succeed in grabbing fourth position from its strong rival Hyundai Grand i10 by selling out 14,611 units during the month of October as against 14,530 units of Grand i10 sold by Korean car maker during the period and compelled it to move at fifth position. The sixth position was captured by Elite i20 by selling 11, 532 units in the month of October.
The seventh and eighth positions were held by MSIL’s premium hatchback Baleno with 10,718 units and compact SUV Vitara Brezza by selling out 10,056 units respectively for same period. It would be interested to know that Kwid hatchback by French car maker has become the choice of first time car buyers and therefore without any exceptions Kwid has succeed in making its place in top ten best selling vehicles in Indian car market. With 9,801 units sold during the month of October Kwid is placed at ninth position in the fleet. And, finally the last but not least Celerio hatchback by MSIL with sales of 9,581 units succeed in making its position among first ten best cars by snatching the tenth position.
