Maruti Suzuki Hybrid Vehicles Perform Extraordinarily
Maruti Suzuki, a leading automobile manufacturer in India, has introduced hybrid variants of its popular SUV, the Grand Vitara, and the MPV, the Invicto, boasting an impressive range of over 1,200 kilometres on a single full fuel tank. The hybrid version of the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara is equipped with a 1.5-litre petrol engine generating 92PS/122Nm, coupled with an electric motor producing 80PS and 141Nm. This hybrid system delivers a maximum power output of 116PS, paired with an e-CVT transmission. Meanwhile, the Maruti Suzuki Invicto hybrid houses a 2.0-litre petrol engine paired with an e-CVT, offering a total system power of 186PS, with the engine delivering 152PS and the motor providing 113PS. The engine torque stands at 188Nm, complemented by 206Nm from the motor.

Maruti claims an impressive mileage of 27.97 kilometres per litre for the Grand Vitara hybrid, which features a 45-litre fuel tank. On the other hand, the Invicto hybrid, equipped with a 52-litre fuel tank, boasts a claimed mileage of 23.24 kilometres per litre. With these specifications, the Grand Vitara hybrid can cover a remarkable distance of 1,258.65 kilometres on a single full tank, while the Invicto hybrid offers a range of 1,208.48 kilometres.
Notably, the Grand Vitara is a collaborative effort between Japanese automakers Suzuki and Toyota, sold in India as the Grand Vitara by Maruti and Urban Cruiser Hyryder by Toyota. Priced between Rs 10.80 lakh and Rs 20.09 lakh (ex-showroom), the Grand Vitara caters to a wide range of consumers. Additionally, Maruti's Invicto is a badge-engineered version of Toyota's Innova Hycross, available in the price range of Rs 25.30 lakh to Rs 29.01 lakh (ex-showroom). These hybrid models from Maruti Suzuki signify a significant step towards sustainable and fuel-efficient transportation, promising both performance and environmental responsibility in the automotive industry.
