Maruti Suzuki India Limited To Launch S-Presso In September 2019

Country’s leading car maker Maruti Suzuki India Limited is getting ready to launch a micro-SUV S-Presso in the Indian car market during the month of September this year. With this launch the Indo-Japanese car maker has indirectly revealed its intentions of dominating the small car segment without any interruption. The proposed micro SUV is reported to carry the looks similar to SUV rather than crossover looks as offered in S-Cross and Ignis hatchback. It will be placed below the compact SUV Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza and will go against the likes of Renault Kwid and Mahindra KUV100. It will have the ground clearance of 180mm height and the commanding seats.

As far as under bonnet features are concerned it will be empowered with BSVI compliant 1.2 litre petrol engine as offered in Baleno, Ignis, Wagon-R and Swift. It is believed that going through the preferences of buyers, the company might also launch its CNG variant after assessing the performance of its petrol variant. As far as the price of S-Presso is concerned, it is believed to be priced below the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza. It is believed to be developed on the same light weight Hearteact Platform as used in other MSIL cars.

As far as the features are concerned inside the cabin it is speculated to carry the same interiors as offered in the Celerio hatchback with dark-gray interiors. The dashboard also seems to be inspired from the Celerio, however, being a mini SUV it will be embellished with Mini-esque dashboard layout with a digital speedometer and mounted infotainment system inside a circle segment.
