Maruti Suzuki Launches S-Presso With An Alluring Price Tag

Finally, one of the highly awaited launches of the year has made its debut in the Indian car market in the form of a mini SUV christened as Maruti Suzuki S-Presso. Showcased during the Indian Auto Expo 2018 as Maruti Future S-Concept vehicle, the S-Presso has been launched with an impressive price tag of Rs. 3.69 lakh (ex-showroom price, New Delhi). The tall and upright stance, bold design and substantial ground clearance, play an important role in making the S-Presso look like a SUV, mainly its elder sibling Vitara Brezza. Where the front fascia of S-Presso receives the muscular body the rear portion also receives the enlarged boot lid and square shaped tail lamps.

Under the hood, it is empowered with the 1.0 litre petrol engine outsourced from Alto K10, and capable of boosting the power of 67 and the torque of 90Nm at 5,500 rpm and 3,500 rpm respectively. The BS-VI compliant engine is mated with six speed manual gearbox and also with an option of AMT transmission system. S-Presso from the Indo-Japanese car maker is one of the models which are developed on Heartect platform. It would be interesting to know that after launch in the Indian car market the S-Presso, will go against the facelift Renault Kwid, that is slated for launch on October 1, 2019.

Speaking about the features that are offered inside the S-Presso, it would not be wrong to say that is equipped with a bunch of awesome features, that will definitely help it establishing its dominance in the segment. The black colored treatment with body colored dashboard inserts on the dashboard of the top trims make the interior impressive at the first instance. The Mini Cooper centre console is equipped with digital instrument cluster followed by SmartPlay touchscreen infotainment system, that supports connectivity with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The steering wheel has control system for audio and Bluetooth. The central console receives the buttons for air conditioner, power windows, followed by USB port and a 12 Volt socket.  The top end trims are equipped with the safety features like rear parking sensors, dual airbags, speed sensor, door locking sensors. The driver side airbag is offered as a standard feature on all the trims. There will be overall four trims namely Standard, LXi, VXi and VXi+, which will be further divided into ten other options.
