Maruti Suzuki Leads The Sales In October, Swift Is The Best Selling Car

The life post the global pandemic COVID-19 has almost changed. Wearing the mask, maintaining social distancing, and sanitizing and washing hands have become the standards of new normal life. With all these changes the life is returning to normalcy and all the sectors are coming back on the track of growth. Interestingly, the auto industry which during the last few months was struggling due to the decline in the sales has witnessed substantial growth in the last couple of months.

According to the sales statistics revealed by the Indian car industry, country’s leading car manufacturing company Maruti Suzuki India Limited succeeds in retaining its top position amid the spread of Coronavirus. Among top ten cars sold during October 2020, eight of cars are manufactured by the Indo-Japanese car maker Maruti Suzuki.
 
With Maruti Suzuki Swift dominating the Indian car market, the top ten bestselling cars during October 2020 are listed below:

According to the report, the Maruti Suzuki India Limited sold 24,859 units of Swift in the Indian car market during October 2020. This sales figure is almost 28.13% higher than the sales made by the company during the same period last year. The company sold 19,401 units of Swift last year in October, which is almost 28.13% less than the sales of Swift made in October 2020.The compact SUV Brezza retains its top position in the sub-4 meter SUV segment by selling out 12,807 units in October 2020. The other SUVs in the segment are Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon, and others.
 
Speaking about the performance of Maruti’s tough contender the Korean carmaker Hyundai Motors India Limited, the Creta SUV has emerged as one of the bestselling cars in the entire country recording the dynamic growth of 92 percent. During October 2020, 14,023 units of Creta were sold in the Indian car market.
