Maruti Suzuki Nexa Dealership To Sell More SUVs

Recently, the Nexa dealership of the Indo-Japanese carmaker Maruti Suzuki India celebrated the five years of successful existence in the Indian car market. Commenting on this achievement, Mr. Shashank Srivastava, Executive Director, Marketing and Sales, MSIL, said that there has been dynamic growth in the SUV segment in the country and therefore besides expanding the Nexa dealerships throughout the country, the company also plans to sell more of its products especially the SUVs via Nexa dealers.

However, he did not reveal any details about the upcoming products, it is believed that the new line-up will include 5-door Jimny SUV and a compact SUV. Although the launch of Jimny SUV in India is still under doubt, the new compact SUV is believed to make its debut during the beginning of 2022. The new SUV is reported to be developed on the DNGA platform outsourced from the Japanese car maker Toyota Motors, which has used the same platform for developing the Raize. The MSIL will launch this SUV against the likes of Kia Seltos and Hyundai Creta and will carry most of its cues from the next-generation Vitara Brezza slated for launch during the festive season in the Indian car market.

As far as engine details are concerned nothing has been so far revealed by the carmaker, however, according to the industry reports it will be equipped with a 2.5-liter SHVS petrol engine outsourced from Ciaz, Ertiga, XL6 and Vitara Brezza of the next generation. Along with this, it might also be launched with a 1.2-liter turbo petrol engine. The transmission system will include both manual and automatic transmission systems.

Apart from this, the company is also speculating to launch a new MPV on the B560 platform again outsourced from Toyota Motors.  This MPV will be placed above Ertiga and will be offered with seven-seater layout with sliding doors.
