Maruti Suzuki S Cross spied camouflaged near Jaipur
Showcased during the Geneva Motor Show 2013and also during the Indian Auto Expo 2014, the Suzuki S Cross is being already sold in few of European countries replacing the hatchback SX4, the Maruti Suzuki S Cross has been spied going for test drive on Jaipur highway. The crossover was completely camouflaged and therefore it is anticipated that it will undergo various cosmetic changes before it is launched in Indian car market sometimes during the mid of next year. The front fascia at the exteriors of car are expected to be adorned with projector headlamps, three piece horizontal slats chrome grille, DRLs and fog lamps. The interiors are expected to carried from Swift hatchback.
In Indian car market it is expected to be offered in both petrol and diesel variants which would be empowered with 1.6 litre petrol engine boosting the power of 120 bhp and torque of 160 Nm. The diesel variant is speculated to be enriched with 1.6 litre four cylinder diesel engine generating the power of 120 bhp and torque of 320 Nm. Both the engines are expected to be mated with five speed manual transmission system followed by CVT gearbox in petrol variant. The European version of SX is enriched with 1.6 litre petrol and diesel engines.
It is expected to be launched with a compatible price tag of falling between Rs. 12 lakh and Rs. 15 lakh. After launch it will compete against Nissan Terrano, Renault Duster and Mahindra XUV 500.
