The country’s leading car manufacturing company Maruti Suzuki India Limited extended the benefits of its “Subscription plan” to four more cities namely Jaipur, Mangalore, Mysore, and Indore. With this announcement, the company is now offering the facility of owning the Maruti Suzuki car on subscription in 19 cities across the country. The “Subscription plan” was launched in July 2020.

The Maruti Suzuki Subscription plan is a platform for the customers to drive their favourite Maruti car on a subscription for a limited period at a competitive price through multiple partners. To impress the customer towards this subscription plan the company has promoted it with a tagline stating “Your Choice of Car. Your Choice of Subscription Provider”. Under this plan, the company will offer optimized products to the subscribers through subscription partners including Orix Auto Infrastructure Services Ltd (Orix), Myles Automotive Technologies Pvt. Ltd (Myles), and ALD Automotive India (ALD Automotive). It also offers the flexibility to the customers to select between white or black registration plates.
Speaking about the extension of the subscription plan, Mr Shashank Srivastava, Senior Executive Director (Marketing and Sales) Maruti Suzuki India, said, “Car subscription is a new and upcoming concept for the Indian market. We are regularly upgrading our Subscribe programme with learnings and feedback from customers. The marketplace model will offer more power to customers to select from a bouquet of options, as per their requirements. This will lead to competitive price offerings coupled with transparency of the process. With the addition of four new cities in our network, we look forward to serving more customers.”
Under the subscription plan, the customers have an option of driving their favourite Maruti car by paying the fixed monthly charge for the fixed tenure. This monthly charge includes registration charges, vehicle usage charges, maintenance, insurance, and other service-related charges. After the completion of the tenure, the customer can either switch to the new car or avail the facility of buying the car he subscribed to. The customers also have the facility of withdrawing the subscription plan at any time.
