Maruti Suzuki Swift 2017 to be unveiled during Geneva Motor Show 2017

According to recent industry reports the generation Maruti Suzuki Swift hatchback will not debut during the Paris Motor Show 2016, but will be uncovered during the Geneva Motor Show proposed to be held in March 2017. The India bound 2017 Maruti Suzuki Swift is going under production in Europe and is reported to undergo vast changes including both mechanically and physically.

Reports reveal that fourth generation of Maruti Swift will be developed on the platform that is used for developing Baleno hatchback, making the new Swift 50 kg lighter than its existing version. The petrol variant is reported to be continued with ongoing 1.2 litre petrol engine, while new 1.5 litre diesel engine built in-home will replace the existing 1.3 litre diesel engine out source from Fiat.

As far as European version of Swift 2017 is concerned it will be manufactured in Hungary and will be offered with option of K12C 1.2 litre DUALJET naturally aspirated four cylinder and K10C DITC 1.0 litre turbocharged three cylinder in petrol variant. It will also be offered in Sport version which will be empowered with K14 DITC 1.4 litre BOOSTERJET turbocharged four cylinder petrol engine taken from Suzuki Vitara S.
