Maruti Suzuki Swift and Dzire waiting period to go down
Maruti Suzuki India is trying its best and putting in every bit of effort to makes it Manesar plant work. The current plant there has the capacity to generate 5 lakh units annually. Now, the firm is in plans to get its 3rd assembly line at the plant and make it operational as soon as possible. Manufacturing cars in Plant C would require the firm to employ about 2000 ITI certified workers. These people will assist the car maker to bump-up the manufacturing capacity to 7,50,000 from 5 lakh. Also this production will help the car maker to chop down waiting period for its most saleable models, Maruti Swift hatchback and Maruti Swift Dzire sedan, especially for their diesel variants. Even Maruti Ertiga has long waiting period.
It is absolutely necessary for the firm to chop down the waiting period of these cars. The major reason behind it is a high amount of competition and the other car manufacturers offering similar cars at a lower price. Therefore, MSI will need to buckle-up and take every possible measure to reduce the waiting period of its cars and manufacture more in the same time. The less waiting period will definitely make the sales of its popular models unaffected.
Besides working on the Manesar plant, India’s largest car maker is also working on the new manufacturing plant of the firm in Gujarat. According to fresh reports, the Gujarat Plant will begin with its operations by 2015-16. The recruitment for that plant will be commenced from 2014.the new employees will be given on the job training along with all the knowledge that they require to work in a MSI plant. Hopefully, these things work out well for the firm and waiting period for its car models is reduced soon!
