Maruti Suzuki Swift facelift might launch on September 16, 2014
Since it has been reported that country’s leading car manufacturing company Maruti Suzuki India Limited will bring the facelift version of its high selling hatchbacks Swift in Indian car market, every time there have been regular updates coming out from authentic sources. Earlier it was reported that car manufacturer will launch the facelift Swift to be named as Swift S sometimes during the upcoming festive season but now it is reported that company is speculating to launch the new Maruti Suzuki Swift S in Indian car market on September 16, 2014. Apart from this it is also reported that the new Swift would be energized with more powerful engines in both petrol and diesel variants which might be carried from its upcoming sedan Ciaz.

According to reports the present engine of diesel disguise which is empowered with 1.3 litre DDiS engine boosting the power of 75 PS and torque of 190 Nm might be enriched with a new DDiS 200, which is also offered in Ciaz and produces power of90 PS and torque of 200Nm. Similarly the petro l variant may get the new 1.4 litre K-Series petrol engine similar to one offered in Ciaz producing the power of 95 PS and torque of 130 Nm. However there are chances that car maker may introduce this engine in the mid prized trim in petrol variant, whereas it may continue the same 1.2 litre K series petrol engine existing the current version of petrol variant in the base trim of new Swift S.
It is speculated that both the engines would be mated five speed manual transmission system and it is also expected that company will also offer automatic transmission system in Swift S, now whether it would be same AMT version as offered in Celerio or 4 speed automatic transmission system as offered in Maruti Suzuki Dzire. It is also anticipated that as Swift S would be empowered with new DDiS 200 diesel and 1.4 K14 petrol engine it would be one of the most fuel efficient hatchbacks available in country.
