Maruti Suzuki Swift Facelift in pipeline for launch in July

Maruti Suzuki Swift has been one of the finest hatchbacks existing in Indian car market. Launched by country’s leading car manufacturing company Maruti Suzuki India Limited, Swift made its re-entry three years back in 2011 and since then it has not underwent any update and neither company felt any need of upgrading it due to regular demand from customers. But in recent times the hatchback has started receiving tough competition from its contenders namely Hyundai and Volkswagen which have compelled the car maker to upgrade the hatchback so as to save its crown of excellence.

As an impact of this company unveiled the facelift version of Swift in international car market last year and now is ready to launch the same version in Indian car market. It is reported that company is speculating the facelift Swift in Indian car market sometimes during the month of July this year and for this it has even started making preparations by offering discount on the existing petrol and diesel variants of Swift to roll out the existing stock of hatchback from market.  Company has offered discount of Rs. 10,000 on the petrol version and Rs. 20,000 on the diesel variant of existing Swift.

Talking about the cosmetic changes that will be introduced in facelift Swift the hatchback will receive minor updates on the exteriors which might include new grille followed by new L Shaped LED lights, whereas the rear portion will receive the new LED brake light. Moving towards engine configuration in both the variants it is speculated that company will continue the existing engine configuration in both petrol and diesel variants i.e, 1.2 litre K Series petrol and 1.3 litre DDIS diesel engine. One major update which company might offer in facelift Swift could be introduction of AMT version which was recently introduced in the recently launched Celerio hatchback from company.
