Maruti Suzuki SX4 Cross caught testing, soon to launch in Indian car market
Maruti Suzuki SX4 Cross which was showcased during the Indian Auto Expo 2014 and also at Geneva Motor Show 2013 has been spied testing on Indian roads indicating that the car maker is soon going to launch the crossover in Indian car market. The crossover is already being sold in various European countries, however for Indian car market the car maker will come up with various new features and changes than compared to existing version in other countries.
The cross-over in European car market has been launched in both petrol and diesel variants empowered with 1.6 litre petrol and diesel engines respectively. In India it is speculated that company might enrich petrol and diesel variants with 1.4 litre and 1.3 litre four cylinder engine. It is also expected that car maker may introduce 1.6 diesel engine in Indian car market, this version of diesel engine is however upgraded edition of 1.3 litre Multijet engine offered by Italian car maker Fiat. It is expected that the crossover would be launched with price tag varying between Rs. 12 lakh and Rs. 15 lakh and will compete against Nissan Terrano, Renault Duster and Mahindra SUV 500.
