Maruti Suzuki SX4 S Cross spied
Maruti Suzuki had showcased its ever first crossover SX4 S Cross during the Indian Auto Expo 2014 and it was for the first time that the crossover has been spied going through test drives on the hilly roads of Manali. It would be interested to know that all major car makers conduct the test drives of their vehicles on hilly roads of Himalayan mounts so as to ensure their power and performance matching according to Indian environment.
The upcoming crossover from country’s leading car manufacturing company is speculated to b launched in both petrol and diesel disguises. The diesel variant is expected to be empowered with 1.6 litre diesel engine churning the power of 118 bhp and torque of 32 kgm. The diesel engine is expected to be coated with six speed manual gearbox. The petrol version is speculated to be offered with 1.6 petrol engine developing the power of 120 PS and torque of 156 Nm and coated with five speed manual gearbox and also be offered with CVT transmission system. The international variant of SX4 S Cross from Maruti Suzuki is offered with company’s Allgrip front wheel drive system, it would be important to see that whether the same model is launched in Indian car market or not.
Talking about the features offered in Maruti Suzuki SX4 S Cross the interiors would be same as offered in SX4 S Cross version offered in European car market, which means that car maker wants to make its strong entrance in this segment of Indian car market. On the exterior front the crossover will receive LED Daytime running lamps, 16 inch alloy wheels, black plastic claddings and scuff plates. One more factor which needs to be specifically mention about SX4 S Cross is it has succeeded in receiving 5 star rating in Euro NCAP safety tests.
