Maruti Suzuki To Launch Ertiga Inspired MPV On August 21, 2019
It is rumored that the country’s leading car manufacturing company Maruti Suzuki India Limited is going to extend its portfolio by launching a new seven-seater MPV in Indian car market on August 21, 2019. The new MPV is reported to be inspired from Ertiga and will be sold through Nexa dealership across the country. Recently, the new MPV was caught undergoing test drive on the Pune roads in Maharashtra. The new MPV is identical to Ertiga but with a different outlook in the form of headlamps, DRLs, and long chrome grille similar to Ciaz. Along with this it will also receive body cladding across the body.

Mechanically, it will be offered with 1.5 litre petrol engine outsourced from Ertiga and Ciaz, but it will be according to BS-VI norms and mated to five speed manual transmission system. It is speculated to be offered with an option of four-speed torque convertor automatic gearbox. After launch in market the new MPV will go against the likes of Hyundai Creta, Mahindra Marazzo and Kia Seltos.
Speaking about the additional features it is believed to come with two captain chairs for the middle row passengers and two passenger bench seats for the third row passengers. It will have a black cabin and carry the steering wheel and dashboard similar to Maruti Suzuki Ertiga. The other interior expected features will SmartPlay Studio infotainment system that support connectivity with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
