Maruti Suzuki To Showcase XL5 Hatchback During The Auto Expo2020
With the only couple of days left in the arrival of Indian Auto Expo 2020, the picture of the vehicles that would be showcased by most of the renowned carmakers is almost clear. The Auto Expo is going to commence from February 5th in Greater Noida. According to recent reports apart from unveiling the Future-e coupe SUV concept during the show, the country’s leading car manufacturing company the Indo-Japanese car maker Maruti Suzuki India Limited will launch the facelift versions of compact SUV Vitara Brezza and Ignis hatchback. Along with this, the company might also unveil its proposed hatchback codenamed as XL5 during the show.

The XL5 hatchback is an upgraded version of hatchback WagonR and is embellished with a bunch of new features. The hatchback is seen undergoing the test drives on various occasions. Mechanically, it will continue the existing 1.2 liter, 4 cylinder K-Series BS-VI compliant petrol engine, boosting the power of 77 bhp and the torque of 113Nm. The transmission duties will be performed by the five-speed manual and AMT gearbox transmission system as an option.
Based on images captured by spies the proposed hatchback is believed to be equipped with projector headlamps, the front fascia will receive the new bumper with fog lamps, LED DRLs and many more. The side profile will receive 15-inch alloy wheels despite standard 14-inch alloy wheels. The rear portion will get LED taillamps. Inside the cabin, nothing has been so far revealed by the spies and therefore nothing is much cleared about the features that would be offered in the upcoming hatchback. However, it is believed that it will receive automatic climate control, push start-stop button, new seat upholstery and few more.
