Maruti Swift Dzire becomes second best selling car in India
Maruti Suzuki India's flagship car Maruti Swift Dzire has managed the position of number 2 best- selling car in India in March-April this year, while the Maruti Alto is continue managing the position of number 1 best-selling car model in the country. Despite of many of rivals like Honda Amaze, Chevrolet Sail, Toyota Etios etc. the Swift Dzire is reporting tremendous sales response in domestic market and driven past the Swift hatch too in terms of sales.
In the month of March, the sales of Swift Dzire sedan were stood at 20,078 units against the sales of 19,654 units of the Swift hatchback. In April the company sold 19,446 units of the Dzire while 16,530 units of the Swift hatchback. It is amazing that the sales of Dzire compact sedan were only 401 units less than the number 1 best selling Alto as its sales were stood at 19,847 units in April this year.
It is expected by near future the beast could drive past the Alto in terms of sales. At present, MSIL is offering the discount of up to Rs 25,000 on the diesel models of the Swift Dzire, Swift, Ritz and Ertiga MPV. The Swift Dzire offers all the variants of both petrol and diesel models between Rs 4.88 lakh to Rs 7.50 lakh (Ex-showroom). Its diesel version gives mileage of 23.4 kmpl, while the petrol model is known for better performance.
