Maruti Swift Star Limited Edition launched
Celebrating the worldwide sales of over 30 lakh Maruti Swift cars, Maruti India has launched the Star edition of this model. This Maruti Swift Star car has many features that are otherwise available in high end models of this car. Features such as Bluetooth, leather seats, roof spoiler, speakers, designer mats and so many other features make this really a limited edition car. This celebration edition is not part of marketing gimmick as this second bestselling car in India doesn’t need any such push. The Swift is the largest selling car in India after Maruti Alto hatchback. There is still no official confirmation regarding the Swift Star price. Experts believe that Maruti may price this car well below the current price in order to attain some quick numbers before the March closing.
Swift has been a golden egg for Maruti and it has been performing so well since its launch that till now the car maker has launched so many of its special editions. But India still awaits the Swift Sport which is the much powerful and awesome looking model. It is believed that Maruti is strongly thinking on launching it in India very soon as the recently launched Tata Vista D90 and Fiat Punto Sport as well as Toyota Etios Liva TRD edition is gaining popularity in the segment.
In the meantime, the Swift is a leader in the segment beating its rivals such as Hyundai i20 and Ford Figo by a huge margin. Though the car had some resistance posed by Chevrolet Sail UVA but that too has gone down due to the overall meek market sentiment. It is expected that the present launch of the new Swift Star edition will be bringing some exciting numbers on the sales chart as the car will have too many takers already and it becomes more lucrative with the features it is coming with.
