Maruti Swift XS launched in New Zealand

Maruti has introduced a much peppier and sportier version of its hatchback Maruti Swift in New Zealand. As per the reports published recently, the Swift christened as Swift XS (a new nomenclature from Lxi,Vxi and so on…) has lots of sporty features along with a 1.4 L K Series engine that is expected to make the Swift even more attractive and worth buying in the segment. As per the recent car sales figures of New Zealand, Maruti Swift hatchback has performed well above the expectations of the car maker and the addition of the new model is going to add to the charm.

As part of the sports kit that has been introduced, the Swift XS has comparatively bold wheel arches along with a spoiler in black color, side protection rubber strips and all new alloys. The Swift XS also has a peppier 1.4 L K Series engine that is used under the hood of Maruti Ertiga. This engine has a peak power of 94 hp and a maximum torque capability of 130 Nm which is quite a power for the car. The most striking feature of the Swift XS is the 17-inch 12 spoke alloys. The Swift XS launched in New Zealand has more of a styling and other features of the Swift Sport that is on sale in Australia.

The Swift XS also has an array of other safety and comfort features that make it all the more worth a buy in the hatchback segment. Where the interiors styling remains the same, there is an addition of better connectivity option with Bluetooth and a Sony audio system. Beside seven air bags, electronic brake force distribution and anti-lock braking system along with a variety of other safety features form the new Swift XS and proffer much more than the regular Swift model.
