Maruti to recall 1492 units of Ertiga, Swift, Dzire and A-Star due to steering issue
Country’s leading car manufacturing company Maruti Suzuki India Limited is going to recall few of its established vehicles from market due to some issue associated with their steering. According to reports company has recalled 1,492 units of different models being produced under its flagship. The different models that are being recalled include 592 units of Swift, 306 units of Ertiga, 581 units of Swift Dzire and 13 units of A – Star. All these defective units were manufactured during October 19, 2013 to October 26, 2013. According to sources of company all these vehicles which are produced during this tenure are facing the some issue with steering, company will replace it without any additional charge.
The sources of company also added this recall will be applicable only on the above mentioned vehicles and that only those manufactured during those specific dates. It has nothing to do with other vehicles of company or any vehicle exported by company. Moving ahead company sources also said that to make customers aware about this mistake all dealers of MSIL who have sold these units will contact to their specific customers and will ask them to get it replaced from their nearest workshops.
To facilitate its customers of Ertiga, Swift, Dzire and A-Star who have purchased their vehicle during this period company has provided details of these vehicles on its official website www.marutisuzuki.com to ensure whether their vehicle is placed in the list of vehicles or not.
