Master Blaster gifts a BMW to Saina Nehwal

On bringing country a glorious victory with a bronze medal at 2012 London Olympics, our very own master blaster, cricket legend, Sachin Tendulkar gifted Saina Nehwal a brand new BMW car. A grand event was organized by the VP of Andhra Badminton Association, Mr. Chamundeshwari Nath, who presented the Champion with a new BMW car. Her coach, P. Gopichand was also present with a luxurious car. Being honored by Mr. Sachin Tendulkar certainly became an overwhelming experience for the victor.

In Tendulkar’s eyes, there is absolutely no drama or show off here. Saina Nehwal plays quality badminton and this show her true sportsmanship that she possesses. Even after winning a bronze medal in London Olympics, the shuttler did not get carried away and was strongly held to her roots. Nehwal won India’s first medal in Badminton at the 2012 London Olympics. The medal has its own importance and respect for the country and Saina has put in a lot of dedication and effort to bring such laurels to India.

While congratulating Nehwal on her win, Mr. Sachin Tendulkar said that it was quite remarkable for India at the 2012 London Olympics. Indeed it was a childhood dream coming true for Saina. She had dreamt of winning an Olympics medal when she was just nine years old.

Winning the first medal in badminton for India in Olympics will definitely promote the sport in the country. Hopefully, there will more medals for India in the coming future. Also, this would probably make badminton a much popular sport in the country apart from cricket.
