Mercedes Benz AMG-GT R unwrapped at Goodwood Festival

German car maker Mercedes Benz has finally taken off the covers from its most powerful and fast driving car GT R during the Goodwood Festival of Speed. Named as “Beast of the green hell” the high performing car by car makes is even faster and powerful than its predecessor GT S which was launched last year.

Empowered with 4.0 litre V8 twin turbocharger direct injection engine that whops horrible power of 577 bhp and torque of 700Nm. Mated with seven speed AMG, Speedshift dual clutch transmission system that transits power to rear wheel, the green giant is capable to touch the notch from standstill to 100 kmph in period of 3.6 seconds with top speed of 318 kmph. It is believed that as the car has been unveiled in Green Hell Mango color, it has been named as beast of Green Hell. However, the actual story behind scene is completely different, as the car has been tested at Nurburning A.K.A. Green Hell track, which is considered as one of the fastest car tracks across the world the car has been named as beast because of roots based on the race track.

With an overall weight of 1,554 Kg, which is makes it 90 Kg light weighted than GT S, the car receives 19 inch wheels at front side and 20 inch wheels at rear side. Other interesting features offered in it include rear wheel steering, electronic coil over suspension system with improved electronic control system, and nine way adjustable traction control system. The front fascia receives treatment similar to GT3 car beginning from "Panamericana" to stylish headlamps followed with LED projector lamps, sharp LED DRLs, enlarged air intakes to boost the cooling system. The rear profile receives completely new look in form of enlarged aerofoil, dual diffuser aerodynamic design enhancing the efficiency and offering strong grip on vehicle. The interiors of car receive same treatment as offered in other AMG studded vehicles by car maker comprising of racing styled seats covered with Nappa leather and DINAMUCA microfiber. However to give interiors contrasting color combination car maker has offered an option of yellow colored seatbelts followed by yellow badges on the headrest.
