Mercedes Benz B Class diesel launching on 11 July
Mercedes Benz India will launch the fuel efficient and powerful diesel version of the much loved entry level luxury compact sedan Mercedes Benz B Class in Indian on 11th July, 2013. At present, the B Class sedan is being offered with only petrol engine but from next week it will be available in diesel engine model too.

The new B Class will be powered with a Euro-4 complaint, 2.2-liter four-cylinder diesel engine which is borrowed from newly launched A Class A180 CDI in the Indian auto market. The new B Class diesel model will possibly be called the B180 CDI. The 2.2-liter engine diesel engine of the Mercedes Benz B Class will generate max power of about 108bhp. The fuel efficient engine of the vehicle will be mated to a 7 speed automatic transmission system and could offer a mileage of 173.5 kmpl in city areas and 20.06 kmpl on long roads.

Mercedes Benz India has recently launched their much anticipated luxury hatchback A Class in Indian auto market and receiving very well response from customers. The company hopes that diesel avatar of the B Class will also have very good response in domestic market. The Mercedes sold 1756 cars in India from April-June 2013 and reported a sales growth of 32.33 per cent against the total sales of 1327 units in same period of year 2012.
