Mercedes Benz B Class launch on Sep 18

Six days from now on the September 18, the luxury car segment will see its daylight. It is on this day that the Mercedes Benz B Class Sports Tourer will be launched. The car has already been unveiled for India and the national launch preparations have already been done. The Sports Tourer version of the B Class by Mercedes will be initially offered in petrol and it will be imported as completely built up unit initially and if the demand rises, the German car maker could think of producing it in the country as well. The Mercedes Benz B Class Sports Tourer Diesel will be offered early next year. As a tourer, the car offers premium comfort on long journeys. The price could land between Rs 21 lakh to Rs 24 lakh and it will be the most affordable Mercedes car in India. Next in price will be the Mercedes A-Class that is scheduled to be launched next year.  

Based on the MFA platform that offers high level of comfort and maneuverability, the B Class Sports Tourer will ensure that the excursions will be highly comfortably. The new Mercedes car will be basically a must buy for companies that are on the lookout of cars for their touring. It will also be a great option for those who are on the tour most of the days of the year and want a car that offers them comfort and ease. However, the availability of only petrol version could mar its prospects initially but as soon as the B Class Sports Tourer Diesel comes in, the sale is expected to pick up.  

This Mercedes car is expected to further strengthen the position of the car maker in the premium car segment as against BMW and Audi. Also, being priced between Rs 21 lakh to Rs 24 lakh the car will be the cheapest Mercedes car and thus will qualify to be a must buy car. Also, the car maker expects it to sell well as presently the Mercedes C-Class is the most affordable car and it is priced around Rs 30 lakh.
