Mercedes Benz B Class to be the largest hatch Sports Tourer in India
The latest update about Mercedes Benz B Class launch is that it is coming this Diwali. On the other hand, Mercedes Benz is expected to launch this new car in India as a sports tourer. Notably, the Mercedes Benz B Class hatch is an upcoming car by the German car maker and since it is a premium car maker and has very few hatches in its stable, it could present this car as a sports tourer rather than a hatchback. Expected to be priced Rs 26 lakh the Mercedes Benz B Class is in production internationally since 2005 and is called a small car with compact MPV body measurements.
In order to give the car a strong start, Mercedes is expected to target the tier 2 and Tier 3 cities so that the car can take advantage of new markets. Significantly, the new sales strategy is driven by the fact that there is considerable amount of saturation seen in the demand for premium cars in Tier I cities and almost every car maker in India is exploring new markets in the country and Mercedes is no exception. Besides, the B Class will arrive at a time when there will be much commotion in the entire car industry due to the festive season.

If we look at the proportions of the B Class, it will no doubt be the largest hatchback in the country with an overall length of 4.35m and 1.78m of width. That is why it is expected to be landed in India as a compact MPV or as a tourer rather than a pure hatchback. As per reports, the second generation B Class that was unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show last year will be launched in India. In addition to this Mercedes will have no trouble making this car in India as it shares its platform with the Mercedes Benz A Class.
