Moving ahead he also added that by 2040 the cars across the world would be running on hydrogen cars and not on electric cars. It is reported that the German car maker has requested the Indian government to not implement the decision of running on electric cars in hurry and think for other options of fuel. The sources of company said that countries across the world are moving towards hydrogen cars and not electricity.

Folger also said that by rushing towards electrification in an aggressive way we are closing options for the better technologies which could be quite beneficial for future generations to come. It would be interested to know that the Indian auto industry is undergoing in dilemma since last year after the announcement made by the government of India for getting electrified by 2030.
It would be interested to know that the decision of being electrified by the government has also received vast criticism across the country by different segments considering the decision not feasible for auto industry and taken without proper planning and strategy.
Commenting for coordinated efforts Folger said, "Ideally, regulators and policymakers should be totally aligned with what's happening on the technology front because 5-10 years is a short period in the auto landscape. The least policymakers can do is to take the auto industry into confidence." According to him the time frame determined by the government for electrification is quite less and means that all auto makers should stop manufacturing new vehicles.
