Mercedes Benz launches CLA class in India
German luxurious car maker has launched its highly awaited luxurious sedan CLA Class in Indian car market with starting price of Rs. 31.50 lakh (ex-showroom price in New Delhi). The sedan is endorsed to be the cheapest sedan available in country and will compete against its strong rival Audi A3, already on sale in Indian car market.
The luxurious sedan has been launched in both petrol and diesel disguises. The petrol trim is equipped with 2.0 litre turbo charged 4 pot petrol engine boosting the power of 183 bhp and torque of 300 Nm. While the diesel trim is boosted with 2.1 litre 4 cylinder CRDi engine that churns the power of 135 bhp and torque of 300 Nm. Both the engine are mated with 7G-DCT dual clutch gearbox system.
There would be three variants available in Mercedes Benz CLA Class of which two would be in diesel trim namely CLA 200 CDI Style (Diesel) priced Rs. 31.50 lakh, CLA 200 CDI Sport (Diesel) priced Rs. 35.90 lakh and CLA 200 Sport (Petrol) priced Rs. 35 lakh, all these prices are ex-showroom price. According to reports the first 100 units of this sedan would be brought through complete built unit after which the forth coming units would be brought through completely knocked route.
