Mercedes Benz launches E 400 Cabriolet and upgraded CLS 250 CDI in Indian car market
With an objective to fill the new launches German luxurious car maker Mercedes Benz has launched E400 Cabriolet and new CLS 250 CDI in Indian car market with price tag of Rs. 78.50 lakh and Rs. 76.50 lakh (ex-showroom prices, New Delhi) respectively. Among the newly launched products E400 Cabriolet is a sportier car whereas the CLS 250 CDI is four door coupe. The cars will brought in Indian car market through CBU route.
Talking about the features adhered in new E Cabriolet it is offered in petrol trim boosted with V6 petrol engine with displacement capacity of 2966cc generating the power of 333 PS and torque of 480 Nm. The engine is mated with seven speed automatic transmission system. The V6 petrol engine is capable to accelerate the speed from standstill to 100 kmph within the span of 5.3 seconds followed by top speed of 250 kmph. The 2 door and 4 seater Cabriolet has been developed for the buyers who do not consider price for buying their favorite car. The features offered in Cabriolet are similar to one offered in generation next E Class sedan. The common features offered in this two door car includes LED headlamps along with DRLs, radiator grille with company’s logo mounted on it, new developed V designed bumper.
Moving towards the side profile it looks quite different from E Class. The features take gives it different look from side angles includes long front bonnet, frameless doors, 17 inch alloy wheels, flat roof line and few others. The rear portion is once again similar to E Class including LED tail lamps followed by newly developed rear bumper. Apart from all these features the worth mentioning feature of Cabriolet is ‘acoustic’ soft top that results in minimum noise levels and high grade insulation. The passengers can open and retract the roof in the span of 20 seconds. It would be interested to know that apart from standstill position the soft roof top can be opened even while driving at the speed of 40 kmph.
