Mercedes-Benz testing new version of G-Wagen

The German Automobile company, Mercedes-Benz is revolutionizing its famous SUV called G-Wagen. The company, which is famous worldover for its luxury vehicles, is testing the new version of G-Wagen, and the pictures of the vehicle have already surfaced the internet. There are rumours that it could powered by a 5.5L V8 engine and it could well be the 2012 Mercedes-Benz G55 AMG. Rumours also suggest that Mercedes-Benz would come out with an even extreme variant of G-Wagen, and it would called the G65 AMG. It is being said that AMG engineers are working hard on making this vehicle more powerful than ever before and they could also design a V12 powered G-Wagen.

The twin-turbocharged V12 engine is the same which powers the S65 AMG. The engine produces over 600 horsepower, but it is being said that Mercedes-Benz is planning to discontinue the G-Wagen. The current G55 AMG could be taken out by a more powerful G63 AMG which would be powered by 6.3L V8 that produces 525bhp peak power. There is a possibility that the car which Mercedes-Benz is testing could be the new G63, instead of a G55.

But one thing is for sure, Whether it be a G63, or a G55, it would be a much more powerful vehicle from Mercedes-Benz that would be amazingly quick and fast. The images reveal that the beastly car features enlarged wheel arches and trash can lid sized wheels. The images, which are all over internet these days, have raised the expectations for G-Wagen's replacement.
